That is a good deal. It is an older model with the less desirable hook scroll and mahogany body, but fair market value is probably double what he is asking.

That's an excellent deal. I have an older hook Gallatin (ordered with maple) and it is a great mandolin. Personally, I love the hook. Having a mandola counterpart would be cool. If that was near me, I'd snap it up.
