Nice technique he uses here - some form of crosspicking?

I was cruising YT videos for a version of AF to copy and found this. Gonna slow it down and see if it is something I can learn to do.

Seems like he's droning chord tones around the melody notes. Almost more of a clawhammer style/technique IMHO.

Thanks for posting it. It's certainly a unique arrangement. John Reischman uses something similar to this technique on occasion.
