With my band (www.nimloth.tk) and the support of some organizations we have been organizing a Festival for three years in a row with plenty of mando music. So in case anybody in this forum is interested to visit us in Valpo at the end of September we will have many mando players at:

Music Folk Festival that celebrates world music in Valparaiso including Hispanic, Celtic and Eastern trad music. Workshops and school mini-concerts at DUOC classrooms from 15:30 to 18 hr. Main Stage at auditorium from 20 to 23 hr. September 29 to October 1th 2005.

Hola, Lucho. I know Valparaiso quite well. I suspect you won't get a lot of takers on this board, but I can tell them that this is one of the most interesting cities in the world. It's a small place, but loaded with tradition.

I wish I know about the activities there on my visits. I've been there three times as a visiting prof. in the history dept. at the U. Catolica de Val. I'll probably get back again as I have some good friends, and I'll bring a mando.
