I finished 2 mando's about 2 months ago....and they were very loud and had great bluegrass tone..but this one blows my mind ...im wondering how loud a mandolin can be made?..Super tone across the strings, perfect intonation. I will use this wood again , I think...hers a pic of the front and headstock

hey Barry how does the sound of this compare to the sound of my sycamore bulldog ?

Jessboo, About the same tone, but I would think a bit louder...this one is a screamer, I think because it is so lightweight, tips the scale at just a little over a pound, without the tuning machines. The machines add another 4 or 5 ounces to it. I have another sycamore mando sitting here waiting for a good home, if you know of anyone looking ,tell em about it
