Here's a well-played, well-kept Collings MT2 mandolin, featuring their thin varnish finish! The sound of this instrument is very warm and open -- its voice is deep and rich, and there's a noticeably "rounder" attack to the note as opposed to a new, lacquered mandolin. This instrument has been played, and due to the sensitive nature of varnish it does exhibit some noticeable signs of pick & fingernail wear (please see closeup photos). Its overall condition is still very good, and it needs nothing in terms of setup / playability work. Priced with its original hard case. This mandolin is on consignment -- no trades, please.
