Well, not a good idea to air this out in the forum as your first post...buyer beware...hope you both can come to an acceptable resolution.

But in a person-to-person sale, if you didn't indicate to the seller that you wanted your mandolin doctor's input before making your final decision, I say the seller's within his rights here.

Just to be clear, this was not a Cafe transaction, and clearly in violation of our Forum Posting Guidelines:

I'm in contact with the individual privately which is the way this should have unfolded in the first place.
