Here is my Epiphone MM-50.

I've played Epiphone mandos with necks joined at the 15th fret, yet all the new ones seem to have shorter necks (joined at 12th fret). I think I even played a 15th fret at a music shop... Wonder why they switched?

Also, these look remarkably similar to a Morgan Monroe model??? Same factory, perhaps?

That is a good question. I don't know. If I can figure out a way for the forum to accept my bigger picture I'll post it. So far it hasen't worked. Thanks for looking.
