I have a wide nut version of a F5/fb with block inlays like the Sam Bush model. I see from past posts that there were only 26 or so "fb" mandolins made. Does anyone know how many were "wide nut" versions? I love the feel of the wider neck and also like the "pop" that it has. Any info would help. Thanks!

Does that mandolin actually read "F5-FB" on the label inside?

Gibson also did a run of a few F-5g models with a wider, "Sam Bush style" inlay fingerboard (that was flat, not radiused).

To my knowledge, the special run of "flamebursts" built for The Music Machine didn't include any of these.

Again, what does the label inside say?

It says, F5/fb. Just like that. The fb is lower case. This is hand written in black ink just like all other Gibsons.
