From Oct 11-19, I'll be in Durham, NC. I'm looking for any recommendations for:
1. Jams to attend
2. Any stores to check out some mandolins
3. Bands or bluegrass shows I should see
Thanks for any leads!

This should hook you up with some jams: http://www.mandolincafe.com/forum/showthread.php?112507-Jams-in-and-close-to-Raleigh-RTP&highlight=raleigh
While in Durham head to SoundPure http://www.soundpure.com/c/folk-instruments/175?sort=3&page=2&show=0 , ask for Robinson .
Also make a side trip to Burlington to Lowe Vintage Instruments http://www.lowevintage.com/inventory.php?type=mandolins&brand= .
Be sure to check hours or make an appt. for both shops.
Tony Williamsons' Mandolin Central is right down the road in Siler City, http://www.mandolincentral.com/instruments-for-sale/
Here's a good source for music in clubs http://www.indyweek.com/indyweek/EventSearch?narrowByDate=2015-10-10&eventSection=1221535
Should be enough to keep you busy.

Great stuff, thanks!
Hey, I host a Jam in Chapel Hill on Wednesday 14th 7:30pm...hit me up for the details.
Pretty sure Mandomutt is in Efland, which is pretty close. Never been there, but he posts some sweet tuff in the classifieds. +1 for Lowe Vintage. Great guys who will let you pick anything in the store. Assuming it's still there, the Loar they have is the real deal. Been a few months since I've dropped in...
