I just compiled two new and very limited bios for Giuseppe Anedda (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giuseppe_Anedda) and Ugo Orlandi (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ugo_Orlandi) for Wikipedia.

For those interested in mandolin history, also am working on a list of historic mandolinists (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_mandolinists_%28sorted%29). All suggestions welcome.

I especially need suggestions for modern music-genre categories for mandolin players...

Glad to see you are taking on this (possibly, but hopefully not) Sisyphean task. I was going to suggest you take a look at the existing list (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_mandolinists), but I see you've already been there. Perhaps you ran into the same problem that I did there - the originator of that list acts like a control freak and is rather fussy about other people's contributions. Starting your own list is a really smart solution to that. It wouldn't hurt to include names from that list on your own. I like the way that list also includes the references to bands the mandolinists have played in, with links to those pages; that helps browsers follow their careers and at the very least place them in some sort of context. I like the way your list is divided by time period and genre. I think combining these aspects into one would produce a fine list, indeed. I'll help with yours as much as I can. I have a feeling my contributions to it stand a better chance of being retained. ;)

Glad to have your contributions! The more I struggle with the task, the more I realize I really have a lot to learn. I like what you say about adding band names, and it shouldn't be hard to add, with the names spread thinner across several types of music.

Yikes! Certainly a monumental task. One correction I can see is needed from the start. Alison Stephens is listed twice in 1920 deceased and once in the 1920 living list.

Add these to classical/instrumental:
Paola Esposito
Adrian Hooper
Paul Hooper (Australia)
Marga Wilden-Hüsgen
Sonia Maurer
Laura Norris
Jacob Reuven
Alon Sariel
Emanuil Sheynkman (United States)
Detlef Tewes
Steffen Trekel
Richard Walz
Gertrud Weyhofen

Also include Ralf Leenen.

Good eye! I merged lists of names initially. Looking at the list now, the modern section looks small...

Combing the Forumns, I added Matteo Casserino to the list. Good choice? Also put in Rudy Cipolla (as a composer).
