I recently got an Alvarez used. I've always heard good things about the mandolins and I have 2 guitars that I like. My question is how or where is there any info on em. It sounds and plays great and feels well built. Are there any Alvarez enthusiast out there. Some info is a white sticker in the F hole with a serial number starting with j18. I've heard the serial numbers can be confusing.I have pics, gotta figure a way to post em. I'm happy with it anyway.
Thanks and happy pickin, mark

Unfortunately the local search is only good for your computer when you do the search.

Here (https://www.google.com/search?q=alvarez+site%3Amandolincafe.com&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8) is every thread on the cafe with the world Alvarez in it.

Thanks for the link. I was wondering if it has a solid top and maybe a year. I don't have a model, just the serial number on a white label. I didnt realize alvarez was such a bad word here but I'm about 5 grand short on an acceptable one.

Not a bad word around me! I have received many compliments and several offers on mine, won't sell.
Mine has been structurally sound, very playable in all weather, no complaints whatsoever!
Set up was done by very accomplished luthier, but, I'm repeating myself. Look at what I have posted in some of those older threads and you will see what I think of mine.
