Hi everybody! My band Velocipede put out some videos recently, and I thought I would share them with you! We did three videos with the mandolin and three with the tenor guitar. I posted the tenor videos in that section of the forums, but here are the ones with the mandolin.

Watching and listening to these videos (and especially the Tenor Guitar ones which were well-hidden in the Tenor section) were the highlight of my morning! I really love the way that you complement each other's sound.

I did make it over to your website to buy a copy of "Hunting the Squirrel." FYI it was a bit awkward having to go through a couple of different gateways to find the "buy album" button. And I trust that the "album" I just bought will come in CD form; you're not a vinyl purist are you? (If so, that will provide me the impetus I need to set up that darn turntable that's been sitting in my closet).

Anyway, love your music!

Wow, thanks for the kind words everyone! To answer a few questions, I am indeed playing an Ellis, which I totally love, and physical copies of the album are indeed in CD form, though it would be fun to release some vinyl one day!

Reel d'Andrew Alain is a bit more tricky. What setting of the tune did you use? I was wanting to get hold of the notation to get the shape of the tune right and then learn by ear. Here is another video you posted showing the tune being played:

I learned Reel d'Andre Alain (which does seem to be a crooked version of Eskimo Reel)from Guy Bouchard in Quebec, He recorded it on one of his band Les Têtes de violon crooked tune CDs:
