Well, I sent the The Loar LM600 back because of a crookedly placed tailpiece. Replaced it with this marvelous Eastman and could NOT be happier:mandosmiley:

Arrived yesterday from Robert at Folkmusician. Sounds great, woody, dry just as I prefer. Good chop even new. Fit and finish is spot on. Plays nice, having fun so far!!

I always preferred the Eastman mandos to the Loars.... Even if they probably come out of the same place. Maybe it's the pretty finish.

I'm glad you're happy! Good luck and enjoy!

Thanks all. Yea, I love that finish too. The Loar was nice, but had the tailpiece placed incorrectly. It probably didn't affect playability, but bugged me, so back it went. The finish on The Loar was perfect. Comparing the 2 sound-wise, the Eastman is more woody, dry, better chop. I prefer that anyway so it worked out for me. The satin finish is nice, but I'll have to be careful with it.
