It was similar when the original ones came out; just be patient. Soon eBay will be flooded with 2nds and blems - then you'll know they're close. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

When I was looking everyone wanted me to preorder or be on a waiting list. Then I gave Elderly a call, I had it within the week.
The new batch might have the new colors and maybe the 8 string model.

In reguards to the subject line, yeah, why are they mandobird? Anyone know what that name means?

Nik-chick, I think it would be a combination of the Gibson Firebird and a mandolin. I am not sure but that would be my guess.

Gibson Firebird. BTW I tried to get a pic of Sam Bush playing his Firebird, but couldn't find one. He wails on it!

Well, it's 7:30 am and I've already learned something today.

"O Romeo, Romeo! wherefore art thou Romeo?
Deny thy father and refuse thy name;
Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love,
And I'll no longer be a Capulet."

I mistakenly thought that "wherefore art thou " meant where are you. Thanks to Nik-Chick.

The whole play can be found at...

Well, you raised an interesting question that these folks were able to answer, weather you meant to or not. So thank you. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

I am going insane waiting for the new mandobirds. I don't really want a 4 string mando at all, so I am excited about the 8 string 'birds.

I live with my brother and his wife right now, and they go to bed super early. They're uaually in bed by 9 or earlier. This prevents me from playing at all after 9, unless I restrict the volume so much it's no fun to play. I am about to buy a house though, and I should move in within the next 90 days, so if they don't hurry up and release them, I won't really need it anymore.

Oh who am I kidding, I'll end up buying it anyway.
