Finished #8 more than four years ago, and today I got to string up #11. #9, 10 and 12 should be following shortly, but then again, I was sure enough that I was almost done that I put tags in them and dated them 7/2012.

In any case. This is a four-string Engelmann topped oval with tone bars and a slightly deeper body than typical and a neck block of the Phoenix type. Monster tall, carbon fiber reinforced neck with an aggressive V-shape. I don't believe I've ever encountered a mandolin with more sustain. Will be interesting to see how it opens up.

Looks nice for sure! I want to try a four string some time.

I like it a lot. Very sleek looking. I also like 4 strings, can't wait to hear a sound clip

I hadn't noticed it before, but it is interesting how visually connected the scroll and the single point are. They are not just a couple of unrelated eccentric protrusion, but rather a kind of sweeping presentational energy. Kind of inspired there, IMO.

Same effect is achieved to some degree in the cool design of the Kyser capo.

Very nice.
