Finished #8 more than four years ago, and today I got to string up #11. #9, 10 and 12 should be following shortly, but then again, I was sure enough that I was almost done that I put tags in them and dated them 7/2012.
In any case. This is a four-string Engelmann topped oval with tone bars and a slightly deeper body than typical and a neck block of the Phoenix type. Monster tall, carbon fiber reinforced neck with an aggressive V-shape. I don't believe I've ever encountered a mandolin with more sustain. Will be interesting to see how it opens up.
