Is it true that SPGMA is the Society for the Prevention of Bluegrass Music http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif? That sounds pretty fun, I hope that I am in town that weekend. I'll probably be jamming in the Lobby.

I'm thinking about going up just for Friday and Saturday. You can get a room at one of the nearby hotels for less that $60. To me, it would almost be worth it to go and see the vendors and builders that will be there.

The vendors and band hall will have a charge to get in. I don't know what the fee is this year, but when you get access you can see the shows also. It's always a good time and lots of great people there. Lots of cool pickin' too.

Preservation it is.
Do they have much for t-shirt vendors there? Thinking about putting together some bluegrass instrument related t-shirts, hats etc. Think it would go over very well?

Just wanted to let everyone know that I will be at SPGMA, Crafters of Tennessee will have a booth in the vendor area, Tut will be there and many pickers playing around our booth. I will have the "Prodigal 5" mandolin, as well one of my F5's. We are probably going to take a few people out to the plant for a tour to show where the mandolins are made along with other instruments....let me know if you have any interest....Mark

I'm planning on trying to be over there Friday night and Saturday some. My father-in-law is up at Vandy Medical Center, so we'll be staying over that way and I'll have to "commute". A buddy of mine is planning on getting a room out there, and we're going to hook up and see the sights and pick a bunch I hope.

I know y'all are talking about the National SPBGMA show, but I did attend the Midwest SPBGMA show to see Rhonda Vincent and the Rage, and they were great. I got to get my picture taken with them after their set was over and get autographs too. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
