Tried one of these at the Chicago Old Town School of Music's store some months back. It impressed me over all the other Kentuckys, Eastmans, Loars, etc. Had that nice deep down gutsy tone of an early Gibson A series but with good overall balance and voice. Pretty too. Enjoy! (Now I want one too!)

I'm really enjoying it... I had an Eastman 804 once.... You know the sad story I presume. That was a beautiful mandolin. Surprisingly this one has lots of balls but still sings nicely. Thanks for playing... and it's nice to be back with all you great people!

That's a beauty! I am a sucker for a great sounding import and have been wondering about the new 200 series.

I one owned a 171...probably the same sad story.

I should write it up in a blues song! Lyin' cheatin' woman and a pawn shop.

Okay, my tale of woe and mandolin loss was different. My kid needed a new mellophone. I am not sure if there is a blues song there...possibly a bluegrass song?

Nope, gotta go with a complicated jazz tune for that story!

That is a fine Mandolin! I love that oval hole and natural top. Gorgeous!
