I am recently acquired this 1920 Gibson A-2 in excellent all original condition in the OHSC. It even has the original Bill of Sale. Virtually no fret wear. Original finish. Only flaw is a spot worn on one side near the fingerboard clamp (not sure how that happened). I really don't think it has ever been played a great deal and plays very nicely right now. I expect it will be a cannon with a bit more playing in. it's my new favorite. I may put a McClung armrest on it.

Reeeaaallly nice. At some point you might want to consider a different case. The original case is nice to have, but there are cases that take better care of the instrument these days.

Already have another more protective case for it. Must always keep the old one as I have the receipt showing it was purchased at the same time.
...and yes, it is in beautiful condition. Probably should add it to the archive.

That's beautiful, and rather similar to the 'basket case' (see the thread (http://www.mandolincafe.com/forum/showthread.php?114083-Basket-case-Gibson-A-search-a-result) in the Builder's Forum) that I recently acquired. I think mine might be a 1917, though that remains to be found out.
