I'm looking at these two models in approximately the same price range. I'm really only interested in quality here though. I know the 80's KM-800 would not be made in the Sumi workshop of the day, so I don't know how much the Japanese-made aspect matters, so I don't really know how to compare these two mandolins. There seems to be very little audio out there of either of these so it comes down to workmanship and materials. Can anyone speak to either or both of these models to offer some guidance?
