I want to order some TRC for my Flatiron Festival F and my KY KM1050. I don't want anything fancy, just plain black Gibson TRC but I want my mandolins name engraved on it. Yes....all of my mandolins have names.
Anyone have a suggestion where I might order them? Thanks-
Randy

Have a look at Bryan England's ''Custom Inlay'' website :-
http://shop.custominlay.com/searchquick-submit.sc?keywords=truss+rod+covers Bryan makes TRC's of anything you really want & you can design you own if you wish to. I've had 2 made for me & Weber even got him to make the MOP TRC for my "Fern" - they didn't have a piece of MOP large enough,

There's this link for DePaule Supplies: http://www.luthiersupply.com/pearltrussrodcovers.html I've never ordered anything from them and have no further knowledge about them.

If you want a black with white lettering, try a trophy shop, they make signage out of that kind of material. Same as what some of the big boys use. Worth a try.

Yea Black white black laminate will give the lettering when the pantograph cutter cuts thru the black.
and a white edge to the angled edge cut of the TRC.
Doug Edwards, aside from making armrests, also makes truss rod covers with inlays. It looks like he mostly does these with wood, so it may not be exactly what you're after, but it's at least one more resource to consider.
