Just wanted to say what a lovely evening last night was, watching Don Stiernburg and Steve Kaufman play at Down Home Guitars.

It was my first trip to the store, about an hour and a quarter from my home. It won't be my last though, the store and the people were great, plenty of eye candy on the walls. Looking forward to other events at the store!

Yes it was a great show, I love the venue, small with good sound. I also liked the relaxed nature of the show, this was the third time I've heard them play there and this was the most informal, just two guys playing some really good music, and having fun doing it. Did you attend the mandolin workshop Thursday? Although I guess that would be a haul from Evanston. Hope they do get Roland White back for a workshop this summer.

No, I could not attend. I just stumbled upon Saturday's event late Wednesday while browsing their website. If I had known about it earlier, I could have had made arrangements and gone.
