I suspect that I am being a bit dim here however having spent a fruitless hour on google and not being much further forward I thought that I would ask the good folk here about this

I foolishly sold my first Gold Tone TG18 about 5 years ago. When I bought it a few years earlier I hadn't been able to find one in the UK so imported it from the USA. The tax man was very happy about this of course. Anyway it came with a pickguard fitted

No longer able to bear the lack of a TG18 I bought a new one last week from a UK dealer

I wont sell this one!

My only problem is that its isnt fitted with a pickguard. Ive ordered a few from eBay but the radios of the curved bit isnt right - obviously intended for a bigger sound hole. I have measured the TG's at 4" including the surround - I think that most of the after market ones are for about 5"

A lot of on line websites dont even give a size as regards the sound hole

Anyone got any ideas on this - a supplier perhaps?

I know that Gold Tone seem to fit a guard to the TG10 but I see no way of ordering this on their website

There may well be a very easy answer to this - however Ive never had to source something like this so its outside of my experience......

Cheers
Ian

Try searching for a 3/4 size acoustic guitar pickguard.

Thank you sir!

Nothing is immediately apparent - I will keep looking though

How about a baritone ukulele or a parlour guitar pickgaurd? if that doesn't now show anything then you might try DIY YouTube vids or as a last resort phone your locale guitar shop!

It would seem that the best thing to search for is 'Baby Taylor' or 'Little Martin'

Both of them arrived the other day and I have come down in favour of this one

The Baby Taylor ones is lovely but a bit dark and sombre for my taste. Its great quality though so if anyone wants to try it then PM me

Alls well that ends well :)
