Use this link to go to an interview with the extremely talented Rhonda Vincent. She mentions the Cafe in question 10. Hope this hasn't been posted somewhere else, if so I do apologize...

If you didn't see it, others didn't. #It was on the front page of the cafe in early March and cited in two different message threads.

They put on the best show I've seen. Very talented musicians with great harmonies and energy on stage. Always liked Josh Williams and he has been an excellent addition to the group. Get a copy of Ragin' Live.

Sad thing is that she is in love with me, but she can't have me...but it seems she has many suiters out there...besides, I would HATE to be shown up by my wife...musically anyway...tee hee Sorry, I missed the post...my eyes aren't what they used to be with CD covers being so small... :-)

She is a very nice person to meet. She played down here a year ago and the sound system quit just when she started. She asked all 40 of us if we were ok with a acoustic show and she commenced to jam. I think she spent as much time socializing after the show as the show was long.

Yep I have pics too http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

I've only seen Rhonda once, when she and her band performed here in NY not far from where I live. The show was great, but what really impressed me was the way she mingled with the crowd during the break and at the end. She was right out there shaking hands and chatting with people and signing things...all in a very nice dress, I might add. She's a very pretty woman, and a great talent.

I was watchin that Pete Seeger show with the Stanley's and Cousin Emmy.

I wonder if Rhonda and Cousin Emmy ain't no kin. The way Cousin Emmy cut up on the stage and she shook that leg just like how Rhonda does.

I've seen her only one time at the Merlefest a few years back, but the wife and neice saw her last year. Said it was a GREAT show. She talked to Rhonda after the show.

But you know, Cousin Emmy said she had 12 kids spread out all over the south. They may be kin. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I am a big Rhonda fan and I was surprised to find her dvd had very little mando solo stuff that I was looking for. Great DVD of a great performance by a very talented band. I was just surprised that there was not more footage of her mando picken.....

The entire band was showcased though and since they all have their own songwriting credits I thought that was great!

And yes, she is a knockout..:p

Her latest CD is her best work to date. I've had it in my CD player for 2 weeks and play it over and over. What a great band she has, not to mention her God giving Bluegrass voice.

The Ragin Live has more mando than she normally plays at the few shows I have seen them. I was beginning to wonder if she could pick or not. But she can play some mean blues on that Smith Creek. Josh does some tasteful mando on the Live video too.
