Moretz Mandolin

Ok so I bought a Moretz Mandolin recently and received it a few weeks ago. I had seen a youtube video of a guy playing one and I loved the tone. So it needs work which is why it is at my Luthier right now. It was made in 2002 and it developed that hump in the fingerboard near the connecting to the instrument. He's going to replace and refret. It sounds awesome. One thing I found weird was the scroll doesn't go clear through. Like there is almost some filler in between which is weird obi but the tone is killer.

Anyways would love more info on these instruments as info seems scarce on Moretz stuff.
