Chris is nice to work with. He's very to-the-point, replies to mail fast, and is very open. Give him a call, you'll see what I mean.

Chris, if you're reading, how's the weather? Drier I hope http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Bill,
Thanks
To all who might be interested, I contract out my flat top logo inlay work to Bill James. As can be seen he does a very good job.

Chris'
Whats shipping time to England on those slow, old, hot, boats you use ? 6 weeks ? 8 weeks?
I'm sure Germain is in no hurry. In fact, you could just ship it to me and I'll hold on to it until he comes to the states in June. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

Hands off Pat! http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif #! It's mine!!! (BTW, have you checked the # ? Coincidence?)

Chris, you're the man. It's just lovely. I can't wait to play it. If it sounds half as good as it looks, I'll be a very happy man.

I'll post plenty more pics when I recieve it, hopefully without too much customs delays.

Cheers

Germain

What's the peghead veneer on that flattop?

Chris Baird

Macassar ebony.

Seems contradictory for a company named "Arches" to build a flattop mandolin. Nice looking instruments!

Chris Baird
Apr-04-2005, 7:32pm
They would be more accurately termed "induced arch" mandolins. #My company name comes more from my location than my mandolins. Where I live --> http://www.utah.com/nationalparks/arches.htm

That kind of funny Chris that's the exact website I look at when I reminisce about my trip to southern utah.

Any idea how many months I have left till the start of my build?

They keep looking sweeter and sweeter.

It'll be a while yet. Probably 3-4 months.
