History Of Country Music

Anyone else here see the "History Of Country Music" show on the Trio channel (cable)? #I think the show was also called "Lost Highway" or something like that.

I saw it last night and it was very entertaining. #They spent quite a bit of time talking about the influence of the Carter Family, but even more time talking about the influence of bluegrass music. #They talked at length about Bill Monroe, skipped the 1950's all together and ended up with Ricky Skaggs.

I saw it a year or so ago. It was a 5 night series. I believe there are 5 parts of it. Great production and I really enjoyed the show. The fifth and last episode was focused on a lot of "alt.country" acts of today and had lots of Gillian Welch/David Rawlings stuff!
