Need Swing Jazz Chords

Need a little help from those who know more bout this stuff than I. Just thought the tune "Heavy Traffic Ahead" would work really well with swing jazz chords instead of the I IV V stuff. This ole cowboy don't know nuth'in bout fancy chords or how to use'm. If someone could throw a few my way maybe I could throw a rope round'm and get'm caught for use on my play'n. Thanks in advance.

Well jazz chords is not in my expertice. But i would ask Ted who is known as Mandohack on here. Send him a pm or email him. He is deffinately the guy for jazz.

How does them thar cowboy jazz chords fit in with the program of the song? Do you take that sequence and substitute over just the A chord and transpose it to D and E for subbing over those chords? Or does the sequence go over the whole progression?

One piece breaks down "There Will Never Be Another You" and chords out the gorgeous 3-note shapes for the tune. Wonderful moving voices which repeat in a descending fashion over the very hip chnages to this tune. kvk- good question- sure, you can transpose 'em to D if you haven't had enough of it by the time you hit the D chord...I would probably slow the motion down to maybe one chord per bar there for variety...
