Hey,

I've been thinking of taking lessons again and getting back into playing the mandolin and maybe this time, stay with it and learn to play a little bit.

I'm fairly new here in Houston and don't know any musicians or anyone that would know about Mandolin lessons and teachers. Today I decided to stop in a small guitar shop right down the road from me and see what what going on. I talked to the young guy that was running the place and I asked him if he knew anyone that gave mandolin lessons. He told me that he didn't know anyone at all. Then he said that he gets all kinds of people coming in the store looking for Mandolin teachers as well as Banjo and that he wished he knew where to send them.

Having struck out there I thought I'd come here and ask you guys. I figure there has to be someone here that knows of a good Bluegrass mandolin teacher down here that I could possibly start taking lessons from.

So...if you know of anyone that can help me, please post. I would really appreciate it.

Thanks for your help and time.

You might want to search the archives: http://www.mandolincafe.com/forum/search.php?searchid=5348506&pp=. One name that comes up is Rich DelGrosso: http://www.mandolinblues.com/newmandoindex.html.
