Here's the top. I am bored with F holes, so I did snake holes instead.

Does it bite? Is this what you refer to as your Hiss-5 mandolin prototype? http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif Lp

Wicked cool, Ellie. Didn't you make the Jessica Rabbit mando a while back?

Ellie

Yup. Jessica's one of mine, too. Thanks for the comments, folks.

I'm still trying to decide if "limeburst" or "Margaritaburst" best discribes what the color brings to my mind.

For some reason Jolly Ranchers came to mind first http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

"Jolly Ranchers came to mind"

Now that strikes me as too true and very funny. I can tell you that over the course of making this instrument, at least one bottle of Tequila was seriously injured, and a pint of everclear dyed.

How about a shot of your "Jessica Rabbit" for those of us that missed it.

I think these mandolins are absolutely brilliant. How nice to see something imaginative - the inlay work looks really spectacular!

So do you dye your hair to match? If so post another picture in the self portrait thread http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

I love the snake holes.

Those look more like worm holes or almost like #### holes http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
Great mods away from the norm.
