This vintage 1922 Gibson A-2 Mandolin# is a gorgeous example of Gibson's simpler line of early mandos, here with a#Sheraton Brown#stained Spruce top. At close to a century old, it does have some wear and dings, but it plays beautifully. The Birch body is bound, as is the newer, radiused Ebony fretboard. Additionally, it has been refretted with larger fretwire and plays smooth as ever. The#double-ring purfling around the oval soundhole adds to its simple elegance, while the black veneered headstock with ivoroid tuner buttons rounds out its overall classic appearance. In Very Good condition, this#1922 Gibson A-2 Mandolin#has incredible tone and is still a great player after all these years. Includes original case. Serial# 70942.
