Hello,

Can anyone tell me some any information about this mandolin? It has been in my friend's family for a while and he is curious what type it might be and what the estimated cost is. I have a feeling I cut something off in the picture. If more pictures are needed, just let me know!

Thanks!123269123270123271

That is an old Gibson A mandolin, probably from the early 20s judging but the aluminum bridge head. It looks nice but its missing the tailpiece cover and pickguard. Doesnt look like theres any cracks but it would need an in hand inspection before being set up, because it looks like it has some water damage as you can see on the label, and the upper back looks water damaged also.
These old Gibson A`s are great mandolins, and if it was set up and playable it would be worth about $600 up to $950
