Per Longworth's book, Martin only made 83 of these, between 1933 and 1938. A super-rare bird indeed.

Well it did not sell, perhaps he will lower the price, but I doubt it. As Allen say's, a super-rare tenor guitar and in great condition.

Looks like a fine example.

Do you prefer an archtop to a flat top?

And who, pray tell, lists a "buy it now" price of $2,568.81? Not $2,500, not $2,600… Must be some arcane calculation of "top of the range."

And an opening bid of $1,976.00: at least the seller left off the pennies.

Could be on consignment. I have a mandolin on consignment at a shop right now & it's also listed on ebay. I told the dealer I want to clear $800 from the sale. So they figured out the percentage they need to mark it up to get their cut, and the price comes out to $1,079.32 or something like that. Not a round number.

I have a great sounding flat top and an old National Triolian, this would fill a gap. I have heard a 1930's Martin archtop six string and liked it quite a bit. I have a feeling this Martin would sound.
