The previous owner said it was picked up at an estate sale in Germany in the early 1950's. Was hoping some one might have a clue who is the maker. There is a name on it put its hard to make out what it says. Thanks.

I flipped and enlarged it, but can't quite make it out. Perhaps someone else can.

it's the "T"'s and "L"'s causing issue here for me, but "Pa_ _ ivre _ _ _", I'm going to go with "Pallivretto" or "Pallivette" It's because it's a copperplate branding, and the top of the lettering missed.

Do those names mean anything to do? (As said by Derek Acorah)

Saltarella or Saltarello is an Italian music term. Don't know the maker, but the neck with the zero fret looks similar to the Framus owned by Ira Louvin recently discussed on this forum.

Saltarella or Saltarello is an Italian music term.

"The saltarello was a lively, merry dance first mentioned in Naples during the 14th century (also...) the name of a meter of music (a fast triple), " Thank you wikipedia! :)
