Hi,

I stumbled on this web site while googling for "cittern". Quite interesting, especially the sound clips. Some of the music sounds VERY oriental to me, like Middle Eastern buzuq music.

A really beautiful instrument, too. But I doubt keeping in tune with metal strings and those beautiful side-mounted wooden pegs must be some problem...
