I know that there are still Bluegrass Boys out there, but I'm wondering how many are still performing in bands.

I don't know if he's playing with a 'regular' band, but one of my all time favourite fiddle players,Bobby Hicks, is still going strong. Richard Greene still plays,as does one time Monroe banjo player,Tony Ellis. Blake Williams plays with his wife in 'The Expedition Show' & Dana Cup still plays as far as i know. Bill Monroe had so many musicians play with him, some for only a very short time, that there must be many of the 'Boys' out there still playing, but maybe not in bands.
Becky Buller would have been an awesome Bluegrass 'Boy' - that lady is a fiddle player & a half !!.

I saw Blake Williams picking a few months back at the Floyd country store in Virginia. In fact I fiddled the tune Uncle Pen with him in a jam. Saw Fiddler Bobby Hicks in Ashville, nc sawing away in a coffee shop ..

A litle off the subject, but I was able to watch Becky grow up here in S. Minnesota. Her parents and another couple formed the group Prairie Grass. Becky started playing with them when she was quite young, andjust kept getting better and better. I'm pretty proud of her!
