I just got this Mandolin off Ebay and was delighted to find that it is in very good shape, one loose brace with just a bit of face warp that should easily come out when I re-glue the brace.
Brazilian Rosewood back and sides, Spruce top,inlaid plastic tortoise shell pick guard, plain nickel plated tuner plate on back of headstock. I assumed from the pictures that it might have been a high end Regal but upon receiving it, I was very surprised to find that it has a rosewood neck as well. I know of no Regal with a rosewood neck (I also consulted the excellent Regal Guitars book) and am curios to know if anyone can identify ths Mando?
The unusual "Gibsonesque" headstock shape and uncommon inlays also make me take notice. Inside construction appears to be good to high quality.
