A couple of days ago I bought this mandolin at a local music shop, though the owners could tell me nothing about it. Upon returning home and quick (and then extensive) research project, I can still find absolutely nothing. Beautiful tone but it's killing me not knowing it's history. There are no numbers or markings whatsoever on this mandolin, save for a handstamped JAPAN on the back of the headstock and a semi-shoddy Sir Charles logo on the front, though I cannot find anything about this brand (if it is one). Simple inlay, scalloped tailpiece. I'm not sure what the nut is made out of but it's so different than the bridge that I think the bridge might be unoriginal (as I do the pickguard). Any help or information whatsoever about this mandolin would be extremely appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Looks like one of many import mandolins from the 70s. That bridge looks pretty funky.
