That would be a perfect pair of mandolins; the best of oval hole and F hole sounds. I don't have a snakehead oval but my '16 F-4 does the job quite adequately. Nice photo btw!!

Wow only 7 numbers away. Yours is probably in better shape than mine.

Mine has a well done peg head and neck repair done by elderly back in 1978. When my mom was pregnant with me, she was carrying out my dad's Mandolin and fiddle to our truck while my dad was breaking down the rest of the equipment after a performance at a local church. My Mom set them down on the ground for a second to show her friend our new truck. Her friend got in the truck and ran over it and the fiddle. The fiddle was destroyed, but she only ran over the peg head portion of the Mandolin. My dad told my mom I wouldn't set your baby down behind a truck tire.
