Hi All!
As promised here is a picture of my fourth mandolin.
I purchased it at the Old Town School of Folk Music in February for 600$. Price included a hard case.
I played every mandolin they had before deciding on this one. I like the resonance that the round hole provides. Most of what I play is Latvian folk music and Irish-Celtic (Sing lots of Clancy Brothers), and the drone and resonace fit in better.
This is also my first "real" mandolin. I wanted to upgrade from the Hora and sovietsky model that I was playing.
This was also purchased to play at my older brother's funeral. Hence the black color.
I love the sound and responsiveness. THere was a bit of a rattle in the D string. A friend of mine at work likes to fix these things. He built up the nut and everything is better now.
