116938This is the Kay mandolin I inherited from my father. i would really appreciate if anybody had info concerning the year and maybe the value of it.

Can't tell you the year but if it is playable (the neck joint on these are prone to movement) I would guess $100-200.

Have it checked by a luthier who knows mandolins.
My Kay cost just under $200, including a case, in 1979. I still have it, and play it. I get lots of nice comments on its action and tone.
