Just wanted to share with CBOM folks that I had the happy opportunity to see Sarah Jarosz several days ago in Ardmore, PA --and she kicked some great tunes on her Fletcher Brock GOM. Got to chat with her briefly afterwards - and let her know how much I appreciated that she's an OM player-- few enough of us out there.
Strongly recommended for anyone with the opportunity to attend a performance.
sorry - my pics didn't come out... too dark for my camera phone to work well

She's one of my favorite artists. Glad you got to make the show.

Was she opening for John Prine? I have tickets to see her and Prine next Friday in Portland Maine. Pretty excited about it.

What a treat that must have been Karen. I got to see Sarah and her Brock OM at the Targhee Bluegrass Festival - front row too. It was epic.

Wow! I'd love to see her here in "Hotlanta" sometime!

I saw her open for John Prine tonight. She was fantastic, the crowd was a bit talkative during her set which really pissed me off.
The Brock OM sounded amazing and her playing was fantastic.

The show here did not involve John Prine - but I'll agree that the Brock sounded great and her playing is top notch.
I really like how she uses the OM to back her singing -
Also, she had a cellist and fiddler with her that were outstanding

If you get a chance, catch their Austin City Limits performance.

Went to the Triple Door in Seattle Thursday.
Cahalan Morrison and Eli West were playing with
John Reischman and Greg Spatz sitting in.
It was a fun show.

Don't know why Eli has the Brock strung with only
four strings in this video. I've only seen it with normal
stringing. Cahalan plays what I think is an unmarked Brock A.
Side note: I saw Cahalan at Wintergrass sitting on a couch
playing a beautiful Nugget A. I stopped and asked him if it was his.
He said, no. It belonged to those guys. Looking down the couch I
noticed [finally] Cahalan was sitting next to Tim O'Brien.
Trying to act normal as Tim stared at me. Wondering who is this guy?
I asked why it wasn't a blacktop. Cahalan pointed to the guy next to
Tim and said 'Mike just finished it'. Now the air seemed very thin finding
myself so near to the top of Mandolin Mountain. I just ran off like a giggling
school girl. With Tim still staring, wondering 'who is this guy'.
