Herschel Sizemore And Red Diamond Mandolins

Anyone heard about Don McCrostie building a new Red Diamond/s for Herschel? I know he had a couple Altmans built a couple years ago. Just curious.

I played 2 that Herschel and Don had in tow at IBMA last year, the new Signature Series. One word: Stupendous!

Here's one of them.

Maybe he's building a vintage series based on one of the Loar's Herschel has.

At that time they were only available through Herschel. Don't know about that now.
And they ARE based on one of Herschel's Loars.
