This guys work is amazing, the arch top baritone would make a lovely GDAE instrument, I think anyway?

I wonder if he would have to carve or brace the tops to withstand the extra pressure of 8 steel strings vs. 4 nylon ones. I like the sound of the uke on this videos.

The guy has a Facebook page but, I just find any prices, however by searching the net it appears he ( the builder) is an arch top instrument specialist & will build any variation of his basic designs:)
I did find one post saying his prices has jumped up & suggested an £800 price tag but, for what exactly, I don't know (as yet).
Anyway I have sent a mail asking for cost... I fancy a 19" scale X braced, trust rod version ....

"Way Hey" paid my deposit... 20" scale arch top, X bracing & truss rod, built in pickup, red cedar sound board, ebony fingerboard but, not decided on body & side wood as yet. Going for the hard case too.. exciting wait of about 14 weeks though! At least that gives me time to check all the options available :)
