I have a new A Model that has two small vertical
cracks at the top of the the back right behind the neck about 1/2" down from the top.#It appears the two small cracks in the laquer are at around the spot where the bottom of the dove-tail fits into the neck block. #The neck appears to be stable, but it is worrisome nonetheless. #Has anyone seen these type of cracks, and are they usually cosmetic in nature? #Each crack is 1/4" long
and each are horizontal, one slightly above the other. #Could
quick changes of heat and/or humidity have caused it? #(it and other mandolins were shown at a bluegrass festival back East #last September).
