Hey Everyone, I'm new to the forum, though I've played mandolin and guitar most of my life. Larry Rice was one of my favorite mandolin players, singers, and songwriters. I've read posts on here where many feel the same way. However, I wanted to throw this out there and get your responses: To me, Larry was also a great fingerstyle guitar player as well. On a lot of his songs, like "Kodak Carousel", "Finish Line," "Plastic People Town," and so many others, he does fingerstyle guitar in rhythm accompaniment and does it smooth as silk, and very tastefully. Anyone agree?

Have to go back and listen to those numbers for the guitar. I have all of his recordings.

I miss his sound all the time, at least we have his recordings! Amazing player, proved to be a very nice guy to a friend of mine in Florida, used to go over to her place and they played music. She has good stories of some of those days.

I believe that Larry wrote the song
'If you only knew'. A song my band likes to play as an opener. Thanks to Larry.
