Hey everyone, just trying to see if anyone has a suggestion on where I could order a good quality flight case for an older Sobell. It's too big for Calton or Hoffee. It's a killer mandolin and I'd love to take it on the road with me but I'd need to make sure it's looked after properly. Thanks to all who reply.

Cheers,
Glenn

Glenn -

There are companies that I found online that take aluminum edged flight case "blanks" and configure the insides for whatever it is that you want to transport securely. The google search that I was using at the time was "instrument case foam". Here are two from the first page of hits: www.plattcases.com http://www.calzonecase.com

Cedar Creek Cases (http://www.cedarcreekcases.com/) builds to order; not cheap but top quality.

Got my Sobell case (there's a story there, between Martin Simpson and me) from Harptone, sized to fit, but I believe they're out of business (?).

I had aa fantastic Harptone built for my Bussmann 10 string 20 years ago. I was told TKL bought them out.
