I noticed that one as well. Only one picture hmm Fraud maybe lol . The other F4 for 5999 is pretty sweet. I dont trust ebay sales too much anymore. It takes them too long to Suspend the definite frauds. The one from Romania Immed me till I blocked him . So many of these frauds, Must be stealing them from the archive or other auctions etc. I am buying my F2 from a private seller. Its the best way to call the seller and talk to them .If we could all have a Mandolin brothers in our town !

I've just asked for more pics, any auction with private bidders etc tends to be very dodgy

This is the second time this has come up in ebay since I bought it a few months ago. #Same discription and everything. #
They have nothing to sell but the picture. I own the mandolin and it is not for sale.

Donald report this to ebay as you are the owner they should pull the auction. These high end Gibson scams are becoming a pain, I replied to one that said the instrument was in Edinburgh, when I tried to view it it suddenly moved to Latvia of all places.

This is a consistant problem, but it isn't eBay, it's some people who are thieves.

To blame eBay is like a dyslexic blaming the pencil.

It would be impossible for eBay to check every item for sale.
Caveat emptor!
Check the location of the item, seller's history, seller's location, etc. These thieves exist because most buyers do not perform any due dilligence at all.

We need to stop these crooks from profiting.

Well for 10 minutes, I was high bidder with my $27.00 proxy - ha. Just think the shipping from Europe was under $3.00!

Mando - The Unofficial Martin Forum, now that makes perfect sense. You gave me the clue and I missed it.

I have seen the board, but never posted there so it's another rattler. This name isn't as ominous as it sounds, years ago I had a Washburn mando with a broken truss rod, it played great, but rattled like 2-skeletons fist fighting in a metal trash can. An observant friend (alleged) tagged me with the name and 22 years later it's still here.

He was a banjo picker...of course.
