Can't find any info on the difference between I and II. The one I'm looking at is a 2004.

I think the I has plain wood and a decal on the headstock while the II has fancier wood and an inlaid headstock. Hopefully others will confirm this.

So the two models ran concurrently or they started making the ones and upgraded the model to a two later. What's a good used price for a Aspen I vs a II. Thanks for any help.

I have played both and don't remember a significant difference in feel or sound. I do believe the difference is aesthetic.

I have an Aspen II. I love it.

I have an Aspen "1" I bought new and it has an inlay Celtic knot on the headstock. It is a prototype, so I don't know if it changed. It is one of the first ones Bruce built and is a great little Mando. I know you will love it.

Elderly has a Y2K right now. That model is very similar to an aspen except it is mahogany instead of mspke and came in a chipboard case instead of the regular hard case. They want 700 in excellent condition. So based on that I should think 800 or so should be a fair price for an Aspen.

According to the Vintage Guitar Guide, newest one I have (2010), the Aspen 1 has a mahogany neck and the Aspen 2 a maple neck. The used values of the 2 seem a tad higher in the 875-900 neighborhood. These prices are several years out of date though. I need to get the new edition!
