Here's an entry I did for the UK Toppermost site, a marvellous site designed to find the best tracks of a given artist. Some of you might vaguely have heard of the artist I picked (disclaimer: I was not paid for this submission. That's probably clear, but I put this up in case it interests someone, rather than for any pecuniary gain). www.toppermost.co.uk/sambush/

I'm not sure what there is to flame about here.

Never let an opportunity to flame go to waste. I assume the flaming would come from those who would expect to find Sam Bush most recognized for his bluegrass contributions? I would just say consider the source? I mean how many bluegrass folks would go to the UK Toppermost site for an assessment of Sam Bush's musical achievements and even if they went there would they care what it says? What does Toppermost know about Sam Bush?
Isn't he from Kentucky after all?

Just pulling yer chain David! :)

Nice piece on Sam Bush! I like his sense of exploration, and synthesizing different popular elements into his own sound. IMHO, Sam's explorations carry on Bill Monroe's approach. We live in a different time and place, after all, so following Monroe's example is likely to lead us to a different place. . . .
