He is the 1st picture of my Pomeroy F4 that Don is creating for me. Seeing LKN2MYIS's mandolin in the final stages is eye candy supreme! If the picture doesn't show I will try again.

Yessir, LKN2MYIS, After looking at your earlier pics, and looking back into pictures of teens and twenties F4 mandolins I decided that a 1 piece would be a better fit all around. I think it was a great decision.
Don said he would pass along more to get a clearer picture of the back and scroll area. Looking forward I am!

Don has become a really prolific builder. #65 already? And his finish work/tone just keep getting better and better...

I'm not sure, but I think those more knowledgeable than I will chime in. I think that the F4's came with a one piece and a two piece back during the early years.

I just think that the 1-piece has that kind of "3-D" look that really helps make an F4 stand out.

Anyone have any more info?

Don's playing it this week. Did a show with it at an assisted living facility.

It'll be in my hands on the Ides Of March. THAT should lend itself to a good name . . . . .

Looks like another stunning beauty in the works from Don. #It's great that Pomeroys get so much attention here on the message board, approaching the heights of BRW fanaticism! #http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

I can't believe how fast he works; I received #49 just 10 months ago and now he's on #65. #And they are all so delicious. #Don is approaching a Givens level of productivity.

Thanks plunktone, I have several more pictures of the process under the topic header Pomeroy F4 progress pictures.
Any chance you can/will, post a picture of # 49? Sure would love to see it. I also am owner of Pomeroy #30 - an A2.
Thanks, Richard

Seems a lot of us Pomeroy owners either return to the fold, or own multiple examples.

Hi. There are some pics of #49, an oval-A with elevated fretboard on the "Post a picture of your Pomeroy" thread, along with your A2. Also in the recently completed section of Don's website. Oh man, I love that Hook-5...

Sorry plunktone did not realize that was your mando, love the looks and I am sure it plays and sounds great.
Lee957, I know you are hooked on Pomeroys, you are proud owner of really beautiful examples of Don's work. Boy, LKN2MYIS's new mandolin is eye candy supreme is it not, wow!
I agree whole heartedly with LKN2MYIS, let Don take all the time he wants.
